Abstract | nang don gnad bsdus: spyir 'jig rten gyi shes bya yod tshad nang bzhin/ bod rtsom la mtshon na yang rgyal khab phyi nang gi rtsom grags can gyi nang don dang sgyu rtsal mtshon stangs la lad mo dang mi rigs rang gi rtsom pa'i nyams myong la rten nas gsar gtod dang 'phel rgyas byung ba yin/ The author discusses the inspiration and models derived from foreign literatures and from earlier Tibetan writing throughout the course of Tibetan literature. In particular, he cites examples of borrowing both form and content from earlier religious writing, history, avadanas, drama, the Gesar epic, mgur and poetry. |
