Abstract | The author uses a Qing dynasty record in Manchu script (and other documents) to add detail about envoys sent by Prince Chanhua (aka Dbang phyug or Wangchuk aka Phun tshogs rgya mtsho)from Tibet in 1648 to the newly established Qing court. These included the \"guoshi\" or State Preceptor Bsod nams bkra shis. A second envoy was sent in 1650. |
