AbstractThis section features five translations of the same Chinese poem entitled \"The Charcoal Peddler\" (Chin. Mai hui wen, Tib. Sol 'tshong bgres po). The original poem, written by the Tang Dynasty poet Bai Ju-yi (772-846), was presented in Chinese in Sbrang char 1988, no. 3, p. 35. The editors ask readers to critique these translations and send in their comments.
