Abstract | The cover photo features a young woman in traditional dress seated on the grass. The explanation on page 47 states that the mu tig thug khog is made primarily with pearls, turquoise, coral and gold. The shape of the \"hat\" is said to resemble the lip of the pot (khog ma) used for making thukpa. It was worn by the wives of chief ministers (bka' blon) and government officials (srid blon). |
